All that matters not, now. Just pick up a paper, pencil, whatever and begin the creating! I'm sure eventually people will like you for YOUR art. Which, trust me is a whole lot more enjoyable.

That's the thing about art. It's more of a journey then a destination. You may have one ideal way you wanna draw now, but later your goal shall be higher and higher.
